Return & Store Credit Policy
At Merme, we take immense pride in curating and creating handcrafted ceramic and artisanal pieces that are designed to be lived with and cherished. Each product is carefully made by skilled craftspeople, making every piece unique in form, glaze, and finish.
We take great care in packaging and shipping our products to ensure they reach you safely. However, given the delicate and handmade nature of our offerings, we understand that rare issues may arise. Our policy below outlines how we handle such situations with fairness and transparency.
Return Process
1.1 Eligibility for Return
Products are eligible for return only in the following cases:
- The product received is damaged, or
- The product received is incorrect
Returns will not be accepted for:
- Minor variations in color, glaze, texture, or shape (these are inherent to handcrafted products)
- Change of mind or personal preference
- Normal wear and tear
1.2 How to Raise a Return Request
To help us resolve issues efficiently, please follow these steps:
- Record an unboxing video clearly showing the product and packaging at the time of opening.
- Record a repacking video if a return is required.
- Take clear photographs of the damaged or incorrect product and the outer packaging.
- Email us within 2 days of delivery at orders@merme.in with:
- Your name
- Contact number
- Order number
- Unboxing & repacking videos
- Supporting photographs
Our team will review the request and share return authorization and pickup instructions within 2 business days.
Our logistics partner will arrange a pickup from your delivery address.
Return shipping costs are covered by Merme only in cases of damaged or incorrect delivery.
1.3 Return Review & Approval
Once the returned product is received, it will be inspected to ensure it meets our return criteria.
Returns may be rejected if the product does not meet the stated conditions or if required evidence is missing.
All approvals are subject to internal quality checks and review of shared visuals.
Store Credit (No Cash Refunds)
At Merme, we do not offer monetary refunds.
2.1 What You'll Receive Instead
Upon approval of a valid return (damaged or incorrect product), the eligible amount will be issued as Merme Store Credit.
Store credit will be issued within 2 business days of return approval.
The credit will be sent via email and linked to your registered contact details.
2.2 Store Credit Terms
- Store credits can be redeemed only on merme.in
- Valid for 12 months from the date of issue
- Can be used across all eligible products
- Store credits are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash
- Original shipping charges (if any) are non-creditable
Important Notes
- We aim to complete the entire return and store credit process within 10–15 days from initiation, depending on pickup location and serviceability.
- Products damaged after delivery or during return transit due to improper repacking may not qualify for store credit.
- Each Merme piece is handcrafted; natural variations are part of the craft and do not qualify as defects.
- Merme reserves the right to decline any return request that does not meet the policy criteria.
