Mottled Earth Bottle
A sculptural ceramic vessel emerging from India’s long lineage of utilitarian pottery, reimagined through a contemporary, universal design language. The tall, grounded form recalls rural storage containers once shaped for everyday life, now transformed into a quiet object of presence and reflection. Crafted in stoneware and soda-fired in a traditional wood kiln, the surface develops its richly textured character through the unpredictable interaction of flame, ash, and vaporized soda, creating organic speckling and natural tonal shifts. Each mark and variation becomes a record of fire and time, shaped slowly by hand and transformed through high-temperature firing. Designed for use as a decorative vessel, for dried botanicals, or as a standalone sculptural accent, the form brings depth, tactility, and stillness into modern spaces—positioned gently between craft, art, and lived experience
